This first quilt is Liberated Stars and was entered into the Cot Quilt category.
It is heavily machine quilted and features mitred borders, piping and wide binding - all techniques I worked on in workshops done with Philippa Naylor earlier this year.
The second quilt is called New Stripes on the Block. It is made from over dyed striped fabric that is pieced in the liberated style. There were many quilts in this small wallhanging category which outclassed my quilt in design and quilting but I really love it - just wish I had had enough fabric to make it bigger.
